Welcome to a weekend of Yoga and Meditation.

Skandinavisk Yoga og Meditationsskole has been an oasis in central Copenhagen for 50 years. We have helped generations of Copenhageners find energy and vigour and clarity of mind.

Here, we teach the classical practices of yoga. The breath takes centre stage and we view meditation as an important part of the traditional yoga practices.

During our weekend course in English, we will meet for 3 sessions:
Friday      17.30-20.30
Saturday 10.00-13.00
Sunday   10.00-13.00
The length of the session will give your body and mind a chance to release stress on a fundamental level.
As it's a half day, you'll still have time for other weekend activities.

Each session will contain:

  •          Physical yoga, to release tension and stiffness in your body. We will move progressively from easier movements to the more classical asanas where you hold your body in the pose.
  •  Pranayama (Yogic breathing exercises). These are more subtle and will help you to let go of mental tension, tiredness or stress.
  •  Yoga Nidra (relaxation). A deeply rejuvenating practice for body and mind, which helps to prepare for the final meditation at the end of the session.
  •  Meditation – this practice can be a real bedrock in your life. The state of your mind is a huge factor in the state of your life, and meditation, when done regularly, really affects and benefits how your mind functions.
  • The weekend will also contain the concentration practice Tratak (candle gazing) and Yogic eye exercises.

Feel free to email us on [email protected] if you have any questions.
